To keep a Ring Stick Up Camera powered indefinitely, mount a compatible solar panel where it receives direct sunlight and connect it to the camera's charging port. The process requires a few basic tools and about 15 minutes. This guide covers compatibility, mounting, and wiring so the camera stays online without battery swaps.

Check Compatibility

Ring Stick Up Cam (battery version) and Stick Up Cam Elite support solar panels. Use the Ring Solar Panel or a compatible third-party panel that outputs 5V via micro-USB or the Ring-specific connector. Confirm the panel's wattage matches the camera's charging requirements to avoid damage.

Choose the Mounting Location

Place the solar panel in an area with at least four to six hours of direct sunlight daily. Avoid shaded spots from eaves, trees, or awnings. The panel must be within reach of the camera's charging cable, so consider mounting it on the same wall or a nearby sunny surface.
