Waterproofing and Prevention
After the repair, apply a waterproof membrane or sealant over the patched area to prevent future water intrusion. Manage exterior drainage by ensuring gutters are clear, downspouts extend at least 6 feet from the foundation, and the soil slopes away from the house. Consistent moisture control is the most effective long-term strategy to prevent new cracks from forming.
