What Happens After Testing

When to Involve a Professional

Remediation scope determines whether you handle it yourself or hire a professional. Small areas, under roughly 10 square feet, with no systemic moisture problem may be manageable with proper PPE and careful drying. Larger areas, mold on HVAC components, or results showing indicator species in occupied spaces warrant a qualified remediation contractor and a separate industrial hygienist for independent testing.

Regardless of who performs the work, keep records of all testing data, photos of affected areas, moisture readings, and PRV results. These documents support future decisions if symptoms recur or a sale, lease, or insurance claim requires documentation of the work performed.
