Prepare the Envelope Properly
To avoid delays, use a sturdy, unlined envelope. Address it clearly and include the policy number in the top right corner. If you're sending a money order, write the policy number on the back of the money order as well.
What to Include Inside
Inside the envelope, place the payment instrument (check or money order) and a copy of the premium schedule if you have one. Do not include any additional documents unless specifically requested by New York Life.
Track Your Mail if Needed
Consider using a trackable service, such as USPS Certified Mail or a private courier, so you can confirm delivery. Keep the receipt and tracking number in a safe place.
Verify Payment Receipt
After mailing, allow 7–10 business days for processing. Log in to your New York Life online account or call the customer service number to confirm the payment has been posted. If you do not see the credit, contact the Premium Services department immediately.
